IOC Practice!

Planing Sheet:

Self - Assessment:
Criterion A-  3. I think I showed that I had knowledge of themes in the knowledge in the text but I didn't reference anything specific. I should have talked about specific events to show my understanding.
Criterion B- 4. I think I showed an understanding of literary features, the symbolism or Madame's Gallery and Kathy's 1st person POV, but I didn't do a good job of explaining the effect it had on the reader. I kind of stuck to the same line of "showing the meaning of life" and didn't elaborate further.
Criterion C-  3. My organization could have been clearer but I don't think it was a mess.
Criterion D- 3. I used literary terms, but I think sometimes I was unclear and my sentences got jumbled a bit. Next time I need to choose my words more carefully!

Overall: I shouldn't let my nerves get the best of me, and I need better analysis!

  1. Adia:
    - Evidence of structure and organization; good thesis. Be sure you keep linking back to those key ideas to prove how they are developed in the passage
    - Make sure you are really looking at the passage ONLY- there are places where you are kinda veering into "book club"
    - I agree with your feedback to yourself about thinking about author's purpose/effect on reader AND about organization.

    A: 5
    B: 5
    C: 4
    D: 4
